A GREAT OPPORTUNITY!
When we experience conflicts, sadness, hardships, offense,
pain, and any other afflictions or
trials, it is a great opportunity! The
Lord is asking us to do something for ourselves, for our brethren, and for
Him. The Lord is teaching us something
and helping us become a better person and be more like Him. It is a great opportunity to improve the
situation or condition we are in. If we seek the Lord’s help and listen to the
promptings of the Holy Ghost, we will know what to think, what to do, and how
to overcome negative feelings and personal weaknesses. It is a great opportunity to commune again
with the Lord, seek His help, continue to feel His love and see the opportunity
given us to become a better person.
It is an opportunity to practice humility, temperance,
patience and understanding; love, mercy,
and forgiveness; selflessness and charity, endurance and long
suffering, faith in the Lord and determination to obey His will – to do what is
right, broadmindedness and maturity, and humility,
gratitude, and cheerfulness, in
the midst of pain and difficulty.
It is a great opportunity to be more like our Savior and be
in a higher level of spirituality. It is
a great opportunity to overcome weaknesses and thus become our strengths. It is a great opportunity to develop in
ourselves characters that will prepare us better to come back to our Heavenly
Father’s presence when we leave this mortal probation. It is a great opportunity to obtain peace and
happiness in this world, secured in the knowledge and great faith that God is
always there with us to help us.
So let us think of the wisdom of each moment and do our
part. Let us seek what the Lord wants us
to do or is teaching us. Seek for the
Lord’s help in prayer and fasting and reading the scriptures. Seek for the guidance of the Holy Ghost and
be determined to obey His will always. He
will help us. We will be blessed with
strength and be equipped to face the next bigger one. We will find true joy and happiness in this world and be
one more step ahead towards the celestial kingdom where we will be in our
Heavenly Father’s presence and live an everlasting life with a an everlasting happiness.
